Welcome to Wise-Mind DBT Brisbane! I'm Jean Short, an Accredited Social Worker and DBT Therapist with 15 years of dedicated experience supporting diverse and complex populations. I specialise in working with individuals diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder, Complex PTSD, Trauma, Dissociative Disorders, and have extensive experience in treating eating disorders.


At Wise-Mind DBT Brisbane, I utilise Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Radically Open Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (RO-DBT) as core therapeutic approaches. My practice is rooted in a compassionate, evidence-based methodology that underscores the transformative power of mindfulness, emotional regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness.
